Lost, after their transport ship went down over the sector D6-89, deep in enemy territory.  The surviving crew and scout unit, now led by Kiryanna, soon discovered that what lived in the hostile bogs was much more terrifying than their enemy.  With morale low as well as supplies, Kiryanna vowed to her crew that the wilds of this forbidden place would not be the end of them and that when they got back to base the drinks were on her.  She knew that during the crash the ship distress beacon was destroyed, so there was no search and rescue underway.  Base Command probably had assumed all was lost and cut their losses.  It was up to her and her surviving scout unit to get themselves and the crew back home.  Anything less than success was death for them all.
